Qi Gong
Nervousness, irritability, inner restlessness, physical imbalance, tension, dissatisfaction, excessive stress, and stress-related illnesses are common phenomena in our time. Many people are seeking ways to relax, find inner calm, or simply have time set aside for themselves—a „personal appointment.“
The main goals of relaxation techniques are to release tension and establish a pleasant physical and mental state of calm and relaxation. Movement and relaxation both contribute to well-being. Relaxation is not mysterious or mystical; it is a completely natural process that, like movement, can be learned.
Physical effects commonly noticed during relaxation with Qi Gong:
- Reduction of heart and breathing rate
- Increased depth of breath
- Decreased muscle tension
- Sensations of warmth
- Potential pain reduction
Qi Gong (also spelled Chi Gong) is a health-promoting healing exercise from China with a tradition that goes back thousands of years. Qi Gong increases vitality, improves posture, physical condition, and breathing, and provides mental balance and relaxation.
In this course, participants learn movement exercises performed in the flow of the breath. The exercises are done standing, sitting, and lying down. They are simple and can be practiced anywhere and at any time. The forms are practiced together, often with music.
